Telstar has reached agreement with Shayne Pattynama (20) on a contract. Earlier today, the left wing defender signed a contract for one season with an option for a second season with the White Lions. Pattynama is transfer free from FC Utrecht.
Technical director Piet Buter sees the potential in new acquisition Pattynama. "With Shayne we bring in a young player with a lot of potential. We have seen him at work and see his potential to be of added value to Telstar. (...) With his education at Ajax and FC Utrecht, Shayne has a stable basis from which to grow further. It is now up to Shayne to prove himself in the preparation and to conquer a place."
Pattynama from Lelystad started his football career with the amateurs of SV Lelystad'67. Soon he was picked up by the Ajax youth school. In 2010 Pattynama made the switch to FC Utrecht where he went through the various youth teams. In 2017 he made his debut in professional football on behalf of Jong FC Utrecht. In the season 2018/2019 Pattynama made his appearance 25 times on behalf of Jong FC Utrecht. He managed to score once in this season.
