Vegter Pro Mod makes noise in Gorinchem

December 17, 2012 - The Vegter Pro Mod Racing '67 Camaro already is a real eye catcher for a show, but when its 3.000 bhp are fired up, nobody will ever forget David Vegter and his team were there. During last weekend's motorsport show 'Autosportdagen Speed & Action' in Gorinchem, car and team were in the spotlight, especially when the engine in the beautiful MPM Camaro was fired up.

The Vegter Pro Mod Racing '67 Camaro was on show during last weekend's motorsport show 'Autosportdagen Speed & Action' in Gorinchem at the exhibition booth of Post & Dros Racing Engines & Parts, the company responsible for the 3.000 bhp engine in the Vegter Pro Mod Camaro. But apart from promoting Post & Dros, Vegter Pro Mod Racing was on show to promote main sponsor MPM and HKR Techniek. All Vegter Pro Mod Racing team members were at the show and car and team were in the spotlight all weekend. There were many questions and almost all visitors were very surprised by the 3.000 bhp and acceleration from zero to 377 kph in 6.1 seconds. "It was great there were so many good questions. Many of these questions were very specific and serious and it was good so see so many people knew something about the sport and this kind of cars. This was a great opportunity for them to get extra information", said a happy David Vegter. Highlight of the show was the moment the engine in the '67 Camaro was fired up. The 3.000 bhp made so much noise, all visitors in the event centre came to see the MPM Camaro. The methanol from the exhausts made the show even better. Many people wanted to have the MPM made 'hero cards' and gifts. Vegter Pro Mod Racing and their sponsors Post & Dros, MPM and HKR Techniek can look back at a very successful weekend in Gorinchem.
