UPGRADE! MPM 05000JP and 05000DX1 upgraded to dexos™1 Generation 3

Now that General Motors (GM) is upgrading its dexos™1 Gen 2 specification and approval to dexos™ 1 Gen 3, MPM is closely following the new specifications that GM has attached to it.

05000JP Motor Oil 0W-20 Premium Synthetic JP

This motor oil is enriched with a new additive package that, in addition to the Japanese and Asian markets, now also covers GM vehicles that require the dexos™1 Gen 3 specification.

Important information:

  • With this 05000DX1-FE, the dexos™1 Generation 2 approval has been removed.
  • GM dexos™1 Generation 3 is only possible (relevant) on a 0W-20/5W-30, therefore this product will not be upgraded.
  • This product remains in the MPM portfolio due to its unique Ford WSS-M2C945-A specification, which covers a large portion of USA Fords.
